Dear all, .

Sorry folks - still didn't get this to the adver before Thursday evening so just hoping that it gets picked up on Friday…..it also looks as though I won't be able to make it again due to my son's recovery from the operation on his feet but I'll be listening on the radio again for sure….my season ticket has been under utilised this season but family come first…..plus he'll be as gutted as me.

Now that the dust has settled and we've got the first game under our belts you can sense a definite change in mood - normality has resumed….it may be a new normality and a different normality but we now have owners, a manager and of course we still have hope and a fantastic squad of players….provided they perform that is!! :-) Here come Walsall - They've always represented a challenge but I always remember that last game of the season where we had to avoid losing in order to gain promotion from the 4th tier of football…..and at 1-1 in the dying minutes they hit the bar…or a shot was tipped onto the bar…or maybe a dreamt it but boy were we happy to hear the final whistle!?…promotion for us but heartbreak for MK Dons who failed to gain auto-promotion despite amassing 84pts..it looks like all will all be just as close this season with potentially 5 or even 6 teams all gaining 80+ points by the time the final positions are known.

Recent form against Walsall has been mixed but despite two hefty defeats in very recent memory, our home form remains pretty good in recent years although we do tend to draw as often as we win but hopefully Saturday will give us a decent win…..but given Walsall's 8 wins 2 draws and 1 loss in 2013 (3-1-1 AWAY FROM HOME) we shouldn't be expecting anything but a great test of capabilities……BUT THEN AGAIN NOR SHOULD THEY!

Hold hose scarves up HIGH for the boys and COME ON YOUUUUUU REDSSSSS!!!!!!
