8:26pm

That's it for today. Visit www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk tomorrow for further updates.

8:20pm

No medal for Harris but a good swim nonetheless. The 14-year-old was sixth overall in 2:14.36, with the points system based on the swimmers' disabilities determining the result.

8:17pm

And they are away.

8:14pm

Finally! It's 8.15pm and Harris is about to race.

8:01pm

These finals always take longer than it feels like they should. Just one more to go and then Harris is up.

7:19pm

Craig Harris will race in the 200m freestyle in around 30-40 minutes.

7:18pm

Miley was seventh in 2:02.02. Femke Heemskerk won it in 1:58.49, with Rebecca Turner second in 1:58.72 and Ellie Faulkner third in 1:59.42.

7:17pm

Close at the finish but Miley was well out of contention.

7:16pm

The Swindon-born swimmer needs to crank it up here.

7:16pm

Miley looked like she was second-last after 50m. She usually saves it but how much has she got left?

7:15pm

The race has begun.

7:13pm

Here comes Miley in the final of the 200m free. She's in lane two and is one of six British Olympians in this race.

7:13pm

Sixth place wasn't bad going considering Gray did the 50m fly for 'a bit of fun'. She'll be relatively happy with that. She has the 200m fly and the 100m fly to come over the weekend.

7:07pm

Ottesen Gray wins it (25.76), Halsall is second (26.00) and Emma Wikins is third (26.98). Swindon's Gray was sixth in 27.46.

7:06pm

Jeanette Ottesen Gray of Denmark, Fran Halsall and Amy Smith are in there too.

7:04pm

Gray is one of five Loughborough swimmers in the 50m fly final. She's in lane one, which is not ideal but don't count her out by any means.

6:58pm

We've had the 100m breaststroke final won by Michael Jamieson, now just a medal ceremony, a junior final and then Gray takes the stage.

6:51pm

Three more heats and then Tilly is off in the 50m fly final.

6:49pm

A couple of medal ceremonies are causing delays to the upcoming finals.

6:38pm

Turner recorded a time of 23.09. He didn't get a good start and just couldn't pull it back from there. I'm sure he won't be too concerned, though. He's got the 100m free to come on Sunday.

6:37pm

Ervin touched the wall in 22.28, with Benjamin Proud second in 22.72 and Jasper Van Mierlo of the Netherlands third in 22.91.

6:34pm

That's a slightly disappointing result for Turner as he finishes well outside the medals in seventh. Anthony Ervin won it for the US.

6:33pm

Here we go...

6:31pm

Look out for Anthony Ervin. This field is missing Turner's long-time friend Adam Brown while Simon Burnett has retired. The latter three were involved in the Olympics last summer of course.

6:30pm

Turner is in lane two for the final.

6:28pm

One more heat and then Turner is up. It's the 50m free junior final so not long to wait.

6:19pm

With the 50m free being such a short race, a lot depends on the start. Makes it very difficult to call a winner, but Turner is arguably GB's top sprinter at present and has a great chance.

6:13pm

A few heats to go and then former Swindon Tigershark Grant Turner will go in the final of the 50m free.

6:12pm

Yet another senior title in the bank for Miley. In all honesty, it would have been a massive shock if she hadn't triumphed.

6:07pm

Miley's time was actually only 1.4 seconds slower than when she won world silver in Shanghai last year.

5:59pm

Miley clocked 4:35.57 to take gold ahead of Aimee Willmott (4:38.94) and Keri-Anne Payne (4:42.85).

5:57pm

GOLD MEDAL

Miley wins it!

5:57pm

The world silver medallist is now well in control and is going to take this.

5:56pm

And Miley takes the lead ahead of the free 100m.

5:56pm

Miley draws level with Willmott.

5:55pm

Here we go with the breaststroke, Miley's favoured stroke.

5:55pm

Willmott leads.

5:54pm

Now she's worked her way up to fourth after the fly.

5:52pm

Miley makes a typically modest start. She was last at the first turn.

5:52pm

They are off.

5:51pm

And here come the competitors. Miley is in lane five with Aimee Willmott likely to be her biggest threat.

5:47pm

Hannah Miley is poised for the 400m IM final. She's a big favourite. The Swindon-born swimmer won silver in this event at the World Championships last year.

5:45pm

Evening session time...

1:16pm

THIS SERVICE WILL RESUME AT 5.40PM.

1:15pm

That's it for this morning's session, join us later as Grant Turner, Tilly Gray, Hannah Miley and Craig Harris contest their respective finals. Miley will go in two and the rest will race in one.

1:11pm

QUALIFIED

Harris finished fifth in 2:16.38 and that is good enough to take him into tonight's final, his second in two days. He was the sixth-fastest qualifier.

1:08pm

It's a tough field but Harris is hanging in there.

1:07pm

Harris turns at 50m in eighth.

1:06pm

Harris is the youngest in the field by four years.

1:04pm

All the swimmers in Harris' race are S14 so it is a straight race to the finish. Whoever touches first, wins.

1:02pm

Heat one of the 200m free has started. Harris goes in the second of the two heats and is in lane one.

12:58pm

A matter of minutes now until the Swindon Dolphn flyer takes to the pool.

12:51pm

The MC heats are taking a fair while in Leeds. The waiting continues for Harris.

12:32pm

It seems likely that Harris will be off in the next 25-30 minutes.

12:23pm

Carlin shows no signs of letting up after her gold medal last night... which she followed with a celebratory Nando's as it was her mum Mary's birthday.

12:21pm

Don't forget, in multi-class events in Leeds, swimmers progress via a points system rather than a time. Points are worked out by comparing a swimmer's time to the world record in their own disability category. This is ensures everyone can compete on a level playing field.

12:20pm

Anyway, Harris is off in the MC 200m free soon. He made the final of the 100m backstroke yesterday and will be hoping to follow that up with another good swim.

12:19pm

Just to reiterate, Craig Harris is only 14 years old. He's competing against people much older than him. A star of the future without doubt.

12:16pm

Here we go with the MC races.

11:08am

THIS SERVICE WILL RESUME AT 12.15PM.

11:07am

S14 swimmer Craig Harris completes the local interest in this morning's session. He will be off at around 12.30pm in the 200m free.

11:04am

QUALIFIED

Miley has made it through to the 200m free final. Rebecca Turner was the fastest qualifier.

10:57am

The Swindon-born flyer comes from fourth late on to win it in 2:01.62, with Ellie Faulkner second in 2:01.78 and Gemma Lowe third in a PB of 2:02.03.

10:55am

And Miley is away.

10:50am

Miley will go in the 200m free very soon.

10:47am

QUALIFIED

Gray makes tonight's final having qualified seventh-fastest.

10:42am

Smith was first in 27.36 seconds with Gray second in 27.72. Raquel Matos was third.

10:41am

Gray finishes second behind fellow Loughborough swimmer Amy Smith.

10:39am

Here we go.

10:37am

The 50m fly heats have begun. Gray goes in heat four of six.

10:32am

Gray is doing the 50m fly in Leeds as 'a bit of fun', in her own words. She's primarily a 100m/200m fly swimmer. The Commonwealth Games hopeful won the 100m title at ASA Nationals last year but maintains that the 200m is her stronget event.

10:28am

Immediately after Gray, Swindon-born Hannah Miley goes in the 200m free.

10:22am

The men's 100m breaststroke heats now, then Gray is up after that.

10:17am

Swindon's Tilly Gray came fifth in the 50m butterfly final

TILLY GRAY ON BALANCING A DEGREE AND AN INTERNATIONAL SWIM MEET

“My dissertation is due in soon and I’m away for five of those days,

“I really need to do more work but it’s fine, you can only focus on one thing at a time. I’m not getting stressed about it.

“I won’t be able to do any work at the competition so after this week I’m just going to go to the library and finish it off.

“I’ve done all the stats, I just need to sit down and complete it.”

10:13am

A short break now and then Gray goes in the 50m fly.

10:05am

QUALIFIED

Turner was joint-fourth fastest and therefore progresses into tonight's final. Ervin was the fastest qualifier with Ben Proud (22.81) second-fastest and Haggett third-fastest.

10:03am

The top three were Anthony Ervin (22.65), Kane Haggett (22.92) and Turner (23.04).

10:01am

The ex-Tigershark finishes third.

9:59am

Turner is moments away...

9:54am

The former Swindon Tigershark goes in the fifth and final heat.

9:48am

Turner is not too long off starting in the 50m free now. He won't be far away from a medal, thats for sure.

9:45am

Former Swindon Dolphin swimmer Tilly Gray pays tribute to her fellow Swindonian for her 800m free gold.

9:43am

That said, Jazz Carlin's 800m free swim yesterday was a PB and beat her own Welsh record! After a tough 2012, the Pitbull is well and truly back.

9:41am

Many of the swimmers at the British Gas International Meet are currently in heavy training so their times are likely to be slightly below what they are capable of. The primary focus for the majority will be the British Championships/World Championship trials in June, so that is what their training is geared towards.

9:34am

British Swimmer Grant Turner took part in a swimathon at the Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool

EX-SWINDON TIGERSHARK AND LONDON 2012 OLYMPIAN GRANT TURNER

For me, Leeds will be used to see where I’m at with preparations for later in the year.

“I’m currently in heavy training and won’t be tapering and shaving for this meet. That being said, I’m still looking to race fast. For me the process of the meet is as important as the result.

“I’ve had very little race practice since the Olympics and it will be good to start racing again. Training fast is great but there is no substitute for race practice.

“It’s good to have a long course meet in Britain that we can use as part of our preparations for (World Championship) trials later in the year.

“Everyone will be in different phases of their preparations for the major this year, so I think Leeds will be used to race tough and see how progress is going.”

9:31am

We have two sets of heats and then Grant Turner gets underway in the 50m free.

9:27am

Alongside Miley tonight will be the likes of Aimee Willmott, Danielle Lowe and Keri-Anne Payne. Willmott was the fastest qualifier in 4:43.44, nearly four seconds quicker than Miley. Don't read anything into that, though. Miley is the hot favourite to win tonight.

9:25am

QUALIFIED

Miley wins it with ease in 4:47.15 and progressed through to tonight's final no problem. She triumphed by a margin of four seconds.

9:24am

And now 2.5 seconds ahead tith less than 100m to go.

9:23am

The world silver medallist has a lead of a second with 150m to go.

9:22am

Miley hits the front just before the breaststroke leg.

9:22am

The Inverurie-based swimmer is very comfortable in the opening 150m, traditionally not the stronges part of her race.

9:20am

Miley is away in the 400m IM.

9:20am

9:19am

Ex-Commonweal pupil Gray goes later in the 50m butterfly. She lost her accreditation last night but tells me she still managed to get into the John Charles Centre for Sport this morning!

9:17am

Miley is imminent in the 400m IM heats.

9:16am

Jazz Carlin

SWINDON'S JAZZ CARLIN ON HER 800M FREE GOLD LAST NIGHT

“It just feels so emotional because it’s been a complete rollercoaster and I’m really happy to come out of it now.

“I was really nervous beforehand because I hadn’t raced long course for about nine months.

“Hopefully come June (at the British Championships and World Championship trials) I’ll be ready to go.

“I want to thank my coach (Bud McAllister) because we’ve worked through it together and I’ve come out better.”

9:07am

First up is Miley, who I imagine could have bricks strapped to her feet and she would still qualify for tonight's final of the 400m IM. This was the event she won world silver in last year.

9:01am

Send your good luck messages and comments either below or on Twitter using #swimadver. The best comments will be included in the main part of this liveblog.

8:57am

Miley takes part in her second heat of the morning in the 200m free and finally Swindon Dolphin's S14 swimmer Craig Harris races in the MC 200m free.

8:56am

Then former Swindon Tigershark Grant Turner will open up his meet in the 50m free, before ex-Swindon Dolphin Tilly Gray begins in the 50m fly.

8:54am

First up is Swindon-born world silver medallist Hannah Miley, who goes in her favoured 400m IM. The Scot won silver in the 200m IM and bronze in the 800m freestyle yesterday.

8:51am

It's day two of the British Gas International Meet. There is plenty going on today, so let me run you through it.
