SWINDON TOWN: We have passion for promotion
6:00am Wednesday 20th March 2013 in Sport By Sam Morshead
THE PASSION: Alan McCormack celebrates Town's win at Yeovil
KEVIN MacDonald celebrated the passion shared between Swindon Town’s players and their fans after two late goals earned the Robins a 2-0 victory at Yeovil last night.
Adam Rooney’s penalty and James Collins’ effort, which came with the last kick of the game, secured all three points at Huish Park in front of a delirious 546 travelling fans.
In praising the efforts of his squad after the game, the Swindon Town manager paid tribute to the relationship that exists between supporters and players at the Wiltshire club after one of the most turbulent yet brilliant campaigns in its recent history.
“I’m delighted for the players, and also for the fans who travelled down here because they were tremendous, and you can see the passion there is between the players and the fans,” he said.
“You saw the euphoria between the players on the bench and the youngsters who have come in and the fans, and that rapport is the most important thing.
“The players are trying to play for the fans because they know how great it would be for them if we either got automatic promotion or if we managed to get in the play-offs.”
MacDonald accepted that Town weren’t at their best on a difficult playing surface down in Somerset.
“I think we can play better, and we have played better and lost in the last four games, but sometimes to win ugly is important for the team,” he said.
“They probably had more possession of the ball but we had more chances, and the more clear-cut chances, and we got a little bit untidy and nervy in the second half.
“When we scored the first goal we started to keep possession better, and I always thought we would have a chance to score a second, and luckily for us it happens.”
MacDonald also confirmed that Simon Ferry was substituted due to a tight hamstring.
Meanwhile, Town have yet to make official comment on the role Gregory Hall will play as a director of the club’s holding company, Seebeck 87 Ltd.
Hall, whose background in the carbon credit industry has drawn concern from some fans, is believed to have ties with a party considering investment in Swindon and was admitted onto the Seebeck board on Friday.
The Advertiser has asked Town to outline his responsibilities as a director but has yet to receive an official response.
Meanwhile, chairman Jed McCrory intimated via social media site Twitter yesterday that the embargo hanging over the club will be lifted before the end of the transfer window.
The original £1.2million that was required to be ring-fenced by the club’s new owners is believed to be in place and all clubs previously owed money in loan or transfer fees are understood to have been paid, but Town have yet to make comment on the issue.
When asked last night on Twitter whether the embargo would be removed before the end of the emergency loan window, which shuts on March 28, he wrote “100%”.

As goes Jed and the lifting of the embargo, seeing is believing, we have heard the 100% twice already, maybe third time lucky ?????? along with many others I'm not so sure. Sorry Jed, we are not convinced, look at our history and you will see why.

This has convinced me that together the players and the fans can get the club promoted even in the club itself it doing its best to stop it. I still doubt the embargo will be lifted in time, so we just need to pray that the current squad remain injury and suspension free...
K Mac requested that the fans get behind the team at the CG just as the great travelling support does away.... We need to win these next 2 home games.... If we do I feel we'll have a great shout for auto promotion...
K Mac sounding much more positive after the game.... Probably his best interview so far.... Well done all

I thought Yeovil defended well in the first half , you can see why they have only lost 1 game at home in the last 17. Would be nice to se KMD get some praise for the way he set his team out , bit unfair some posters on here calling him a cheap option , criticising him for being quietly spoken . Great performance Town and a great three points.
As for Jed - stop treating us like idiots how many more times are you are your motly crew going to tell us the embargo will be lifted. were not some non league fans like banbury united and stop treating us like it. Make a bloody statement but a truthful one. weve had the crap from you and Murrall and we deserve to be treated better. your actions so far will turn fans against you if you carry on with your jackanory stories on the embargo.

Most important point for me is the one about team spirit. Worth noting in our desire for loan signings. Would only be useful if they are match fit (and there's only 8 games to go), provide cover in positions we might be vulnerable, and add quality. The most important point will be how they fit in the dressing room.

As for Jed tweeting....I wish he wouldn't as a number of tweets are both inappropriate and not in keeping with the role bestowed upon him at OUR club....
Secondly, I got accused last night of being 'Mr Doom and Gloom' (on twitter).....well to be honest I was 'Mr Doom and Gloom' because I was and still am totally fed up with the lack of clarity over our financial position.
In simple terms wins paper over cracks - we still don't really know the situation within our club both from a financial point of view and from a 'board member' point of view.....we don't honestly know what the overall plans and goals are for our club and so far nothing that I have seen, read or heard has given me any genuine sense of confidence....
I hope the 'board' can clarify what direction the club is taking and instil some confidence for our long suffering supporters..
If anyone thinks that I take pleasure in being negative please think again...my negativity is born out of genuine concern for my clubs future....

Good interview from Kevin. I was beginning to get a bit worried he only dealt in platitudes.

I'm a fan of MacDonald and pleased with the result last night, as was I a fan of PDC and appreciate just what he has done for us. They actually mentioned on TV last night that our players had brilliant levels of fitness - who instilled that?
As i've said before, I didn't care what PDC or anyone else did outside of the football pitch. Some of it entertaining, some of it irritating. All I cared about was results - and PDC got them, and hopefully MacDonald will carry it on.
I have been critisiced for still defending PDC by a lot of people who have suddenly changed their tune since he left. But its people like you who pretty much exist of these forums to try and create a divide within our own supporters that literally do nothing for the club and we are better off without.

I've said recently that we will finish mid table but last night gave a glimmer of hope.
For the first half hour we certainly wern't at our best hoofing the long ball and bypassing the five man midfield. However after soaking up the little bit of pressure that Yeovil applied we then dominated for the rest of the game.
The pitch was as they used to say "a leveler" but we attempted to play decent passing football and were well worth the three points Our possesion according to Sky was 55% to their 45% which I can't really disagree with.
Thommo was magnificent and thoroughly deserved his MOM. Thommo was subjected to a couple of really bad tackles early on and I believe he was deliberately targetted , However he did get a nice bit of retaliation in which cost him another yellow , thats 4/4 now and not ideal for him, the team or us fans.Nathan has a really bright future ahead and it won't be long before he's playing in the Premiership IMO.
Good and noisy support from our fans again, well done , shame we can't do that at home !
Roll on Saturday and possibly hitting top spot again , there's nothing I'd like more than to eat a bit more humble pie.
COYR's
P.S
I can CONFIRM 100% THAT THE EMBARGO WILL BE MENTIONED AGAIN :-)

mgstfc - well said i have the same concerns as you as we all should. If the current board had made a statement and explained that there are situations that need to be overcome before the embargo is lifted then we would have all shut up and stopped going on about it. But when they consistently come out and keep saying they are confident it will be lifted tomorrow as they consistently keep doing then it doesnt fill you with any confidence whatsoever.
As supposed businessmen they have to be honest and they cant hide from what the truth is as eventually it will come out and if the news that eventually does come out is not good then everyone will turn on them.
I accept they have stepped in where others feared to tread but they purchased the club for the princely sum of £1.00....in return for this magnificent gesture to Andrew Black he/they sold Matthew Ritchie to fund 'future operating overhead'.....how on earth is that supposed to instil confidence..?
We then find out that further monies had / were still unpaid to other clubs / organisations...The club shop have been 'on stop' with Adidas since before Xmas....so once again I ask 'how on earth is that supposed to instil confidence?'....
We then hear (and see) some of the actions of the board behind the scenes and wonder what / who has now gained the responsibility of running MY club..?
Look, forgive my negativity but surely I can't be the only one who is nervous and anxious..?
I feel there is an uneasy truce between fans and the board...a lot of fans are secretly nervous but just hoping 'it will be alright on the night'....but it is also important for alternative views to be posted, shared and debated.

Don't forget Yeovil have been flying at home, they barely had a sniff at goal all game. When they did get through it was snuffed out nicely by Flint and the fantastic Nathan who is a far superior right back to Caddis. Caddis far inferior in the air and much less physical plus would never have been in position to make those 2 last ditch tackles.
Also has Macca patented the move where he chases back at pace, shields the ball then at the slightest contact falls and grabs the ball, drawing the foul? Works every time without fail!

This is a question asked by a few of our fans recently.
.
My opinion so far is that having been in charge of a depleted squad, having no room to manouvre in the loan window, standard of opposition, their form and league standings, along with paddocks for pitches we've had to play on, 7 points from 12 is a good return and not really any worse than any of our challengers for the league. He's achieved all of this amidst the behind the scenes smoke and mirrors, whilst maintaining his dignity in the media.
.
Early impressions? I like the bloke, good work KMD, keep it going please.
.
Our board however, the jury is out but I still prefer to believe they have the best interests of our club at heart, but they are hardly helping themselves at the moment with their silence amidst the concerns of the fanbase.
.
Even if they came out and said they were unable to say anything at present, that would be better than literally saying nothing!!
.
Back to last night, cracking team performance. The whole back line were on top form, but Flint and Thompson in particular stood out.
.
Midfield 5 worked really well and we limited them to one clear cut chance in the first half.
.
As soon as we were showing signs of bossing things in the second, KMD changed it to a more attacking 4-4-2, obviously believing we had he stamina and quality to go on and win it and it was a tactical master stroke. Only 1 team ever going to win that game and on a paddock pitch our superior quality and fitness showed in the end.
.
Nice to see Collins net again, what's that? 16 now this season, and not a regular starter either, not bad eh??
.
Business end of the season now folks, time to back them all to the hilt.

On card count according to sky last night, Macca on 7 and Thommo 8!! 10 would lead to a ban. Thommo has been great this season and whilst i also rate Caddis may well (especially as we appear to not have financial clout these days!) be a good idea to cash in on Caddis on his return. We do need a couple of good loanees in if embargo is ever lifted as last night we had 2 on bench with no first team experience. The trick is the right loanees as has been stated their is good dressing room at minute. COYR!

To all the moaners, whingers, doubters, KMac is doing the business and is doing it with dignity, decency, calm but still passionate poise, a grown up who doesn't sulk when his pasta gets cold. To the impatient, don't worry Xfactor will be starting again soon I'm sure, so you can get your instant gratification then. For the rest of us, we will be patient, we will toil and fight to survive and maybe even suceed.

Not a criticism just an opinion, he did hit it hard tho which done the trick, so I take my hat off to him, I thought the curler was a better option to score but that time the keeper done better.
Still think we would have never scored if we carried on with that 4-5-1 formation even tho we had most of the play, as i thought Rooney looked lost on his own.
Yet again after a poor start to his stfc career (like ward) I'm taken to Rooney for his effort(never gives up attitude)
Even if he was feeding off scraps last night. Every time I've seen him take a pen I am never confident, but hey what a great couple he has take (nows that what I call a keeper having no chance)

One things for sure Paolo wouldn't have been a happy bunny this morning lol.

Great result last night on a sh1t pitch, made an in-form team look ordinary, only their long balls over the top through the middle looked dangerous and that was mainly because they were held up by a pitch with no bounce whatsoever.

Great stuff from terrier on MacDonald. There's no doubt in my mind that Di Canio is an excellent coach and motivator. However, I'm also convinced that he's a poor man manager. With MacDonald we might just have struck the right balance. The players certainly still look well motivated and appear to be playing with less fear. IMO part of the reason we played so much hoofball under PDC was that some players were scared to make a mistake on the ball for fear of the immediate hook or the public humiliation afterwards.
I miss many of PDC's characteristics. Others I think we are well shot of.

Grim, I thought both our goals were gifts to one degree or another. Could never work out why under Paolo we played hoofball from time to time. Some games we played nice stuff, others went long. As it was intermittent it looked like a tactic rather than players being scared, but not a good tactic as Collins and Williams aren't great at holding the ball well, so the ball just came back every time. It's a pointless tactic unless you have a quality forward like Donaldson. Chris Martin was OK at it I suppose although he never scored a goal from open play.

Hope you are doing Ok, just a small point, Chris Martin scored a beaut for Derby at the weekend, in fact a bit of a well tidy goal, from open play, bang ,and it was in there. As you rightly say, big shame he couldn't do it here. With Kevins contrasting style of management and play we'll never know what he might have been achieving if he had remained here, big pity but the pot was dry, no money, no loan players.

mgstfc - well said i have the same concerns as you as we all should.

If he's got the players wanting to play for him and is getting results out of them, what more do we need? So far he has produced two very good results and two rather disappointing ones - but the disappointing ones were against two of the current best sides in the division. 7 points out of 12 - not bad from a group of players who looked a total shambles in the last game before his arrival. Absolutely no complaints from me about this manager. No doubt things will go wrong, possibly because of his mistakes and possibly because of things outside his control. Such is football. But so far I think he's doing a fine job.

As for KMac, I'm prepared to give him well into next season before starting to make any judgement on him, very highly respected among all in the game, and I believe that he could make a great manager, only time will tell, but for now he has my full support, as do the board at the moment.

Even after a clean sheet, 3 points at a promotion rival and 3rd place in the table we still have people who aren't satisfied. To make negative comments about KM's interview is totally crass. He's paid to manage the team not to be a media personality and in my opinion, certainly on the evidence of least night, he's doing a good job of the former.
The sad truth is that some people are only happy when they're criticising others, often from a standpoint of total ignorance. We have a level of motivation and togetherness in the team at the moment that doesn't come along every day. Why not just appreciate it?

Nobody seemed bothered about sustainability while all that was going on. You seem to suggest that McCrory and co are in the process of sorting out the club's finances. If they need sorting out, I hope that is what's happening. But I thought the new owners had been lucky enough to acquire a club that's in a healthy state after the write-off of the loans. It seems more likely that the transfer embargo remains in place because the new regime has not given enough information to the League to satisfy them that the club can meet its obligations.

Things likely to go wrong? Quite possibly, regardless of which league we are in. Should we get promoted Championship success will be hard earned given the size of our club and financial position, so realism is needed on that front. And if we stay in League 1 we will need to play very well to repeat this season's success. But got to remain positive...!

I think the point you made to David shows where a lot of this misplaced anger is being generated from
.
It is clearly assumed by most that the new board simply picked up the club in tip top shape with everything in perfect order all for just £1
.
I think as time is going on we are now starting to see this is far from what actually happened and I think a lot will be in for a shock about what was actually left behind
.
I don't think the club was sold for £1 - that simply came from a comment Black made months ago that he would list it for £1 if he thought it would generate interest
.
Patey talked about bidding wars and loss minimisation - so I'm certain debt was written off (not all) in exchange for equity purchased - Jed said he sunk his own money in - I doubt he would have said that if he meant it was simply £1
.
I also don't think it was in a healthy state as you imply - don't forget we were told categorically by the previous board were debt free beyond the loans to the directors - yet it transpires we owed money to Norwich and Shrewsbury to name two club the new board have ahad to settle debt with!
.
Jed has clearly said they shouldn't be blamed for the previous boards actions (but are!) of which they are in the process of clearing that mess up and that the situations is a lot more complex than most think it is
.
For example we have had comments like why don't they just pay Shrewsbury the £20k and be done with it - even after the news about the £1.2m insurance fund was public knowledge
.
Jed has also said he will reveal all after it is sorted and that he is confident they are close to that now
.
He has also not said "tomorrow" as most seem to think but said before COB on 28 March to allow loanees to come in
.
Think the least we could do is give them to then to sort whatever the issue(s) is/are out and wait for them to then update us on this/these as stated
.
If they don't get it lifted and reveal all by then then I think serious questions will need to be answered
.
But while negotiations are going on I think it is fair enough they are not revealing all as it could hinder those negotiations

Perhaps he could bring out a dog on Saturday and walk it on its hind legs up and down the touchline, then attempt a song when interviewed after the game. Would that be entertaining enough and establish him as a more charismatic manager?

The problem is that there is no protection for players like Thompson. and humans can only take so much.
Referees failing in their duties to apply the laws, where blatent pushing, pulling and otherwise manhandlng opponents, are the norm This is particularly noticable when corners are given and defenders ignore the ball in favour of standing facing the attackers. What ever happened to the laws against obsruction?
It is time time that good players are protected from thugs in the game
More horrendous pictures in the 'sport' pages this weekend of so-called tackles which are really grievous bodily harm.
Once we could have dealt with this but now this is down to FIFA where recent events seem to be less than satifactory

COYR!

Also it is possible the new loanees may be on less than Benson and Cox - so if we are struggling with the 65% limit that might rule that out as an option even if the clause is available as they could take us over
.
Personally don't think either are the answer anyway - Rooney and Collins similar to Benson and Cox would be the same as Miller, Navarro and Macca
.
Think the new guys eyed up are different types ie the Spanish lad is a wide forward - ala Walcott (not comparing just using as an example) showing KM is looking for different options more than like for like
.
He would seem to fit in the new away formation and also provide an alternative to Williams which we don't have since Storey got his injury

Grim, I thought both our goals were gifts to one degree or another. Mad decision by the goalkeeper to concede the penalty, and I think most keepers would have been disappointed to let that second one in, even though it was a great strike. But those goals were just reward for a great second half performance.

As he is considered by many of the old un's to be a legend for town, think the adver should give him and his family the fans best wishes for a speedy recovery, after all it's only a 5 minute walk from their office, I'm sure he would appreciate it.
I spent many happy hours in the back bar with all my mod mates. The scooter boys & girls (known as the In Crowd) were allowed to use the back bar when Roger Smarts Mum & Dad ran it in around 1965/67.

Jed said he had to make decision in one day!
.
It was said the timescales was the main reason some of the other consortiums pulled out - probably as they would have wanted to do full due Dilligence which would have taken weeks
.
Others pulled out as they wanted it in administration - so that alone suggest to me it wasn't given away in tip top shape, debt free for £1 - as why would others want it in administration if that was the case?
.
I have no idea what the issue(s) is/ are which is why I won't judge the board like too many are
.
Jed has said he is confident it will be lifted before next Thurs and will reveal all after it is - I will take his word on that and see what he says when he can - he will have to talk after that date even if it is lifted or not!
.
I said a similar thing about Fabio and his crew when the BBC reported non payment - too many were judging too early then - yet from what the board said It appears they were right not to pay

All too easy to get on their backs, but hardly a useless return is it, even taking the cup goals out of the equation.
.
As for last night, neither two started up front and no, we didn;t look like scoring, we were set up not to get beat and it worked, until our manager noted our superior fitness and quality, made some changes and went 4-4-2 to try and win it late on, which we did. My point being that Rooney looked no more likely to find the back of the net thatn the other two, but I believe that was due to the way we set ourselves up for 3/4 of the match.
.
As for the rest of the season, IF we go up, we'll have scored enough throughout the team and won enough matches and bagged enough points! But now you're getting back to if's and buts again!

Don - that would explain the time taken, the need for silence and the complexity and in the hands of the solicitors comments
I think the Shrewsbury and Chris Martin things may be red herrings. When any takeover is done, there are always going to be outstanding amounts due. They would be taken into account in the purchase negotiations. Do we know that these payments were already late when McCrory and co took over? Or did they delay the payments? I'm finding it hard to see that the previous owners can be at fault on things like this, unless they concealed such liabilities when they sold the club. I can't believe that would be the case because of the massive risks to their reputations and the financial redress that would no doubt be obtained by the new owners anyway.
Don't you find it strange that the embargo was going to be lifted at the beginning of last week (Tuesday at the latest), then the board was "very confident" that it would be Monday of this week, now it's 100% certain to be by the 28th March? I wouldn't have thought there was much difference between "very confident" and "100% certain" - and Monday came and went without the slightest explanation of why that confidence was misplaced. So why should we have any faith in "100% certain"?
The warning signs are there in very large letters.

I would add to the debate that it is only relatively recently that cup goals have not been included in a striker's tally.
I remember Mayes and Rowland scoring a lot of goals for us but, I believe, quite a few would have come in the magnificent cup run we had that season.
You are of course correct that he only has 13 but I think we should consider how many players have more than that.
Five is the answer so when considering the league as a whole he is 6th best.
I thought he made a big impact last night and, for a change, actually had a couple of chances. The first brought a decent save from the keeper and the second he scored.
I have said all season that what has been lacking is the service into the box, too many to the far post and not enough variety. He showed what he is capable of when provided with opportunities against Stoke and Portsmouth. He has missed chances but every striker on the planet does that.
It would be nice to see him reach 20 league goals for the season, which I think he is capable of with the right service, because that would probably sees us promoted.
Always nice to have a prolific scorer in your side but you can become too reliant on him, Yeovil last night were a good example So in a way we have been lucky that goals have come from many sources this season.

Jed has clearly said they shouldn't be blamed for the previous boards actions (but are!) of which they are in the process of clearing that mess up and that the situations is a lot more complex than most think it is . For example we have had comments like why don't they just pay Shrewsbury the £20k and be done with it - even after the news about the £1.2m insurance fund was public knowledge . Jed has also said he will reveal all after it is sorted and that he is confident they are close to that now . He has also not said "tomorrow" as most seem to think but said before COB on 28 March to allow loanees to come in . Think the least we could do is give them to then to sort whatever the issue(s) is/are out and wait for them to then update us on this/these as stated . If they don't get it lifted and reveal all by then then I think serious questions will need to be answered . But while negotiations are going on I think it is fair enough they are not revealing all as it could hinder those negotiations
We don't know what they were and I hope most have been written off.
I remember a lovable chap buying Chelsea for a pound :-)
I also believe a well known high street chain or store was also bought for a similar amount in the past but cannot remember which one.

Collins is now only 4 away from the magic 20 - personally can't see how people can complain at that! . Collins is a fantastic impact sub (who will get better) its just a shame Benson couldn't step up to the level needed and Martin didn't come good - to fill the main striker role to allow him to develop nicely away from the spotlight so much . Williams I've never said was a goal scorer always a winger - he might get 15 which is good as a 2nd striker - as above though we needed a main striker to go with him . That's the main issue with PdC - he never landed a proper out and out striker who was at the right ageLR - hate to labour a point but Collins needs 7 to hit the 20 mark not 4 - he's only got 16 when you add in the cup goals! Hence my reservations that his and Willo's goals alone will get us up and after the deluge of goals against lately can we rely on clean sheets- we could easily have conceded a couple of times last night if their guys had their boots on which fortunately they didn't but can we rely on that against Donny & blades? Don't think so IMO.

Anyway it's pretty certain our destiny rests in their hands one way or another- lets hope they can deliver.

Kevin Mac is our manager now, he has my absolute support and I do think he will be great for us. The lads played with a freedom last night that was not often evident under Paolo, even if he did get us some great results. I do believe the players had some fear under Paolo. Fear of making a mistake, fear of upsetting him and this must have put some off their game.

Kevin Mac is quietly spoken to the media, but was most definately animated and vocal on the side lines. We would NOT have got this performance out of that Italian git.haha a backstabber who comes out after PDC has left. Good one pal ;), would never turn my back on you, not for a moment!!!.

When he left yes i was upset as i thought he would be loyal to us fans who showed much loyalty and support to him and thought he could actually see the season out and go with dignity at the end of the season. There are so many other Managers and clubs that have it tougher and Di canio resigned soon as he had a challange basically.
For me i think sod PDC he is no longer here, The new owners are hard to judge at the moment and i really hope they are here for the long term and will put money into this club, and i really hope the rumours i hear about them not wanting promotion is rubbish. We must make more money if we play championship football. and its our best chance to go up.
As for Kevin Macdonald, give him a chance he has good experience with Aston villa and a lot of Villa fans wanted him as Manager before Lambert was appointed. He also has good experience with youth players which also will help us, PDC didnt care about youth players and i believe they are the future of STFC so they need to be involved in some matches and train with 1st team at times to get use to it, K mAC WILL do that. I think there is a real team spirit now that Luke Rooney and others are back in the fold. For me what pdc did to players was pathetic keeping them in the cold the players are human and will make mistakes and be unhappy at times we all do that all of us.
Kevin Macdonald seems pretty quiet but thats good he works hard with the players. Walks staraight down tunnel at end of game gives a straight and collective interview after the game and is positive with his comments and gets on with it, you dont hear him moaning and making threats because of what we are in.
Like any other fan i have concerns about new owners as nothing is being said, I have concerns we are under embargo and cant sign any loan players that may help us with the promotion push and our squad must be tired and a few niggles with players.
What we all need to do is carry on supporting our team of players, Support the Manager and give him a fair chance in the job, And hopefully the owners will do the right things by us. And in 8 games time hopefully we will be celebrating a 2nd promotion.

Do you think a certain out of work manager watched our game last night and I wonder what his views would be on our performance, subs, team selection and of course the goals and tactics.
It all seems academic but perhaps worth the debate. Excellent post above by stfc 2011, and yes I do endorse Kevin, very much so. I do think we have some good players here, and now after a few games he is getting hold of them and perhaps getting more from them. A different approach by somebody older and more experienced in coaching. Obviously he started by watching, now he knows the players better and has his feet under the table more things are slowly but surely progressing. Another magnificent away showing of support last evening, each and everyone of those guys has my gratitude. 2011 has it about right.
All we need now is a statement about the new guy on the board and his job description, and to be told what the problem is around this embargo, then perhaps we can all settle that bit more( or not) as the case may be.

Firstly i havent commented on PDC or K Mac yet but i will now. For me I will always respect what Di Canio did for us while he was here, I dont care how much money he had he still got us a promotion to L1 and got us to a final at Wembley in JPT. And over the 2 years we have had a good Fa Cup run and a good League cup run. Also Di canio and his staff left us top of league one for a tad bit. For me we always knew deep down it would end in tearS, Di canio is passionate and is very hard working no doubt, but he also did wrong and really has to learn about what he says and his temperment as bigger clubs and chairmans will not stand for his petuclant behaviour and threats, Trust me after this saga a lot of chairmans will be scared to take him on, I think deep down are old board wanted him gone but he was delivering succes for us which isnt something we are use to.

ce like ours the other night they then look to be quite ordinary. This is the case in every team in this league-no real out and out goal machines. We should count ourselves lucky to be where we are -and with a superior goal difference.
