TAE KWON-DO: FOLLOWING on from Holly Hunt's black belt success in October of last year, it has been a successful 12 months for GTI Swindon Tae Kwon-Do club, with the promotion of six new black belts.
Paul Lolley, Darcy Hall and Ryan Goddard were promoted to first Dan in May, while Caroline Elkins, Liam Jones and Cory Hall were promoted last month.
The club has also seen Mitchell Nelson promoted to third Dan black belt, making him the club's senior grade.
Instructor Ian Fendt said: "We are very proud of what our students achieve, both in class and at gradings and tournaments.
"A GTI black belt is earned through hard work after about four years of training. Our students are of varying ages, but all worked hard and deserve their new grades.'' GTI Swindon club is based at The Haydon Centre, Haydon Wick, training on Mondays and Thursdays, where it is divided into a beginners and advanced classes.
