SWINDON TOWN: Town spent £128,326 on agents' fees in 2012/13

SWINDON Town spent £128,326 on agents' fees between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013, it has been revealed today.
The Football League have published their annual agents' fees report for the 2012/13 campaign, which shows only five clubs in League One last term spent more on agents than the Robins.
Bournemouth topped the spending in the third tier of English football with a whopping £688,666 paid out to agents, while Preston, Coventry, Crawley and Brentford all racked up bigger bills than Town.
In total, there were 1,153 player transactions in League One last term of which 221 involved the use of an agent. The division's total spend on agents was £2,229,019, up almost £300,000 on the previous year.
Neither Crewe nor Hartlepool paid any money to agents last season.
Town's spending has fallen by more than £320,000 compared to the previous 12 months, however, during which the club shelled out £448,506 to agents.
