SWINDON TOWN: Wolves boss boasts inside knowledge of Town
KENNY Jackett is wary of the threat posed by Swindon Town this weekend, having managed three of the Robins’ starting XI during his time at Millwall.
The Wolves manager is therefore familiar with Ryan Mason, Darren Ward and Dany N’Guessan, and he is expecting a tough test at Molineux this weekend.
“The table is starting to form and take shape and Swindon under a new manager have a high turnover rate in their first team and a number of new players,” he said.
“Whether they can push on now having turned things around is something that we’ll see over coming weeks.
“I’ve seen a lot of their players – I had Ryan Mason at Millwall on loan and Darren Ward, and Dany N’Guessan has just signed, who I also had there.
“A lot of new faces have just signed who we’ve come across and been playing regularly in Spurs’ reserves, which is a very good team.
“There are a number of players who are either on loan or who have played at Spurs at one time or another.
“I don’t really know what the connection is but Grant Hall, Yaser Kasim, Massimo Luongo – who they signed last week for £400,000 – Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard have come from Tottenham or been loaned from there. They’re quite a new group and they’re playing some good football.”
