SPECTRUM are the only team in the Swindon & District League Premier Division with a 100 per cent winning record.

They made it two victories out of two with a 7-2 victory over Kingsdown at the weekend.

Midfielder Eddie Allsop bagged a four-goal salvo and Carl O’Regan, Craig Kelly and Hugo Teixeira also converted.

Kingsdown’s goals came courtesy of a Mike Lichota curling free kick from 20 yards and an own goal.

Hot on Spectrum’s heels are Swiss Chalet, who defeated Sportz Central 5-3.

Central took the lead but a Neil Herring penalty made it 1-1 and Lewis Polden volleyed Swiss Chalet ahead from a cross-field pass by Daniel Cooper.

A long-range lob saw Central equalise again just before half-time but later on Mark Hughes restored the Chalet advantage.

Daryl Herring poked beyond the keeper to make it 4-2 and Hughes doubled his personally tally to make it 5-2. Central scored a late third but it was not enough.

Fox & Hound are also in the leading pack following a 2-1 win against Queensfield. Zachary Ockwell and Lee Gratton registered with Shane Hibbert netting for the defeated side.

Old Town returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over DJC Marlborough, as Chris Wood bagged a brace and Joe Gelston also got on the scoresheet.

In Division One, four teams are tied at the top on six points, including leaders Swindon Spitfires, who trounced Redhouse 11-0.

Scoring for Spits were Liam Kearns (4), Pete Byrne (3), Barry Winslow (2), Pete Fletcher and Phil Legace.

Goals from Anthony Hitchinson, Adam Wilkins and Pete Wyatt gave Lower Stratton a 3-1 win over Ramsbury for whom Jonah Ponting scored.

Chiseldon beat Larry’s Plaice 6-3 thanks to efforts from Lee Curtis (3), Stuart Cody (2) and Luke Mitchell. Daniel Longley, Karl Easterbrook and Mounir Amri scored for Plaice.

Motaquip triumphed 3-1 against Old Town reserves with their goals coming courtesy of Aaron Wilson, Kray Dunn and Bryan Davis.
