Robins wait on Hans injury
SWINDON captain Hans Andersen suffered a hand injury in Poland last night ahead of this evening's play-off semi-final second leg clash with Poole.
The Dane was involved in a crash with Grzegorz Zengota in the final at Rzeszow in the final round of the European Championship last night, with the Pole's bike making heavy contact with Andersen's hand.
The Swindon skipper eventually got up and took his place in the re-run before finishing third, and immediately after the crash said: "I feel a bit second hand, but it feels as if I hit my fingers with a hammer."
Andersen has not contacted the the Robins management following the injury, and the rider this morning confirmed to the Advertiser he will be flying into the UK as planned despite being in significant pain.
The 32-year-old's efforts in Poland last night saw him finish fourth in the SEC standings at the end of the series, with Martin Vaculik claiming the title.
Elsewhere, Poole will be without Rohan Tungate this evening after suffering a hand injury while riding for Ipswich in the Premier League over the weekend.
