NORTH WILTS YOUTH LEAGUE: Marvell-ous start for Sevenfields
BRADLEY Marvell scored after just 15 seconds for Sevenfields United in their game against Stratton Youth.
It was the perfect platform for Sevenfields, who went on to take the victory 5-1 in Under 15 Division 3.
Liden didn't have it all their own way, however, with Wanborough missing an early chance to go ahead from the penalty spot.
Following the missed spot-kick Liden took the initiative, with Mark Siaw scoring a hat-trick.
Under 10 Division 2
A BRAVE Liden team rallied well to overcome a 2-0 deficit against a very physical Hungerford Town side.
After a goalless first half, the game sprung to life in the second. Two headed goals put Hungerford ahead, but a fine finish from Harrison Racey on his debut and a Tyler Hughes free-kick gave Liden the point they deserved.
Under 11 Division 1
GREENMEADOW came out of the blocks quickest against Croft Juniors Red, with captain Rowan Doyle getting the first goal in their 6-0 win.
Thomas Lane scored two before Doyle registered again to give the visitors a four-goal half-time lead.
Greenmeadow started the second half in much the same way as the first and Max Whitfield notched two goals to seal their win.
Liden went ahead early on at Robins A when Tobias Lango whipped in a ball into the area which gave the hosts’ defence trouble and saw them turn the ball into their own net.
The away side continued to press in search of a second, but were unable to find the net, and Robins levelled to ensure a 1-1 draw.
Under 11 Division 2
HIGHWORTH Town Juniors T kept up their good run with a fine 5-0 home win against Ramsbury Juniors at the Rec.
Highworth’s scorers were Olly Fletcher, with a brace, Will Webster, Josh Uzzell and Tye Lennon.
Stratton maintained their 100 per cent league record with a 3-1 win over Wanborough Juniors.
Wanborough took an early lead but Paul Amoni levelled the score just before half-time after a goalmouth scramble.
Callum Lewis in goal kept Wanborough out and Amoni extended Stratton’s lead with a second early in the second half, before sealing the points with his hat-trick strike late on.
Under 11 Division 4
AVEBURY went 3-1 up against FC Abbey Meads Colts before Riccardo Rossi scored from a throughball by Oliver Prior and James Ejsmont equalised with a superb free-kick to make it 3-3.
Under 12 Division 1
BRANDON Lewis struck twice for Ferndale, as they overcome a battling Calne team 2-1.
Lewis opened the scoring before Ferndale goalkeeper Ben Paul pulled off two superb saves.
Calne made the most of their stopper’s fine work to level but Lewis found the net again with four minutes remaining to give Ferndale the win.
Swindon Rangers made it four league victories on the bounce with a hard fought 5-0 success against a very resolute Stratton Juniors Pumas.
Leading 3-0 at half-time, Rangers added a further two in the second period to maintain their 100 per cent start to their league campaign, securing a third clean sheet in four games in the process. Jack Paines (2), Max Spackman (2) and Gregor Thompson were all on the scoresheet.
Under 12 Division 2
LAMBOURN earned a hard-fought 4-2 win against Stratton Juniors Panthers.
The teams were level at 1-1 at half-time, with Lambourn’s goal coming courtesy of Jack Cameron.
In the second half Lambourn came more into the game, with Thomas Henderson sprinting through to put the away team 2-1 up.
Stratton fought back to equalise but Lambourn weren't going to be denied. Cameron notched his second to make it 3-2 and Thomas Henderson wrapped up the win with a cool finish.
Under 13 Division 3 (9v9)
Dan O'Brien’s superb throughball was clinically finished by Joe Gleed and Ben Simons remained composed to confidently score from the penalty spot.
Shaw, meanwhile, produced a fantastic performance in their goal-ridden came at Liden Community - the visitors running away 16-6 winners.
Under 14 Division 1
WOOTTON Bassett Town Yellow continued their steady start to the season with an entertaining 3-3 draw against Shrewton. Bassett’s goals came from Lewis Cholod (2) and Daniel Hulse.
Under 16 Division 1
BRINKWORTH claimed their first win of the season thanks to three penalties in their 4-2 victory over FC Chippenham.
Under 17/18 Division 2
RORY Davis celebrated his 18th birthday In style as he pocketed four goals for FC Calne in a nine-goal thriller against Stratton Youth Blue.
Jake Brand helped secure the 6-3 Calne win by adding two goals of his own.
