Ogbourne raise £373

MEMBERS at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club raised an impressive £373 for charity at the club’s junior fundraiser.
The top prize of a four-ball at The Kendleshire went to David Sheeran at the event last Saturday, as he played superbly to end the day with a nett score of 64, while Chris Legge will have the pleasure of entertaining three guests at a Club Carvery after finishing second with nett 68.
Four players tied on nett 72 for third, but it was Gary Sheeran who emerged on countback to claim a 20 digit range card.
The Baxter boys cleared up the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin competitions as Steve got closest in two at the third and Stuart launched a long one down 14.
Kevan Williams, Alan Bathe, Craig Keene, Chris Legge, Dave Eagle and Tony Pike were the only players to card a two in their rounds and each collected £26 as a reward.
Thoughts are now turning to next years event which is set to be bigger and better than this year.
