JASON Doyle has confirmed he will not be riding for Swindon Robins next season.

The Australian was a major part of the Robins team which won the Elite League title in 2012, and became an asset the following winter in a swap deal with Poole for Maciej Janowski, but was loaned out to Birmingham last season after Alun Rossiter was unable to fit him into his side due to too many riders doubling up.

It had been assumed the popular rider would return to Blunsdon for 2014 having enjoyed a spell as the Brummies’ number one, but speaking to the Advertiser from Australia this evening Doyle confirmed he would be moving on once again.

“It just hasn’t worked out for us and I wanted to ride for Swindon this season, and I thought it would happen,” he said.

“I’m looking for another club now which is a shame because I wanted to be at Swindon, but it just hasn't worked out.”

The Advertiser understands Wolverhampton could be early contenders for Doyle’s signature.
