SWINDON'S Luke Watkins was stopped in the second round of his ABA Novice Championship fight this afternoon in controversial circumstances.
The super heavyweight was up against Przemyslaw Pozniak of Newark at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire and despite being up on the judges scorecards was stopped after taking a knee in round two.
Watkins is trained by Swindon's Paddy Fitzpatrick, who was in George Groves' corner a fortnight ago when the Brit was stopped by Carl Froch in similarly controversial circumstances.
