FARINGDON A secured their place in the last four of the North Berks League Cup at the weekend.
They made it through after a solitary Luke Wilkins goal gave them a 1-0 win over fellow Division Four side Berinsfield reserves.
Faringdon won 4-3 at Wallingford Town in an all-Division One clash in the third round of the North Berks Charity Shield.
Tom Denmead, Richard Evans and Paul Hulme all scored for Faringdon alongside an own goal, whilst Wallingford also benefited from an own goal alongside an Ashley Searle double.
Lambourn Sports are out of that competition after Ardington & Lockinge were given an away walkover.
In Division Two, Dave Coleman and Lee Andrews netted for Coleshill as they triumphed 2-1 at Marcham who scored through Dave Yallop.
Faringdon reserves won 5-2 at Sutton Courtenay courtesy of a Chris Benson double, an Adam Clay strike, a Jason Evans effort and an own goal.
Mike Hooton and Dave Southey scored in vain for Sutton.
