GEORGE Groves, the boxer who floored Carl Froch in the opening round of their WBA and IBF super middleweight title match last month, this afternoon invited the Swindon Advertiser into his first training session since that fight.
The 25-year-old was cruelly robbed of his chance to see out the title bout with Froch in Manchester, following a controversial decision by referee Howard Foster to stop the fight in the ninth round, with Groves ahead on all three of the judges’ scorecards.
He was in Swindon at Fitzpatrick’s Boxing Gym in Ferndale, in the ring and on the pads with his trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick. We threw 12 quick-fire questions at the Hammersmith hitman:
