NILE Ranger is set to be left out of the Swindon Town squad for tomorrow’s visit to Sheffield United due to continued concerns about his behaviour.

The former Newcastle forward missed a string of training sessions in November before being granted a leave of absence by the club as he prepares for his upcoming trial, although he has since returned to training with the first-team squad.

Having returned to the side from the bench during Town’s last League One game, a 3-0 win over Carlisle, it is now understood the 22-year-old arrived late for a number of sessions in the weeks following his return.

Speaking yesterday, manager Mark Cooper admitted Ranger had not simply been rested for Tuesday’s clash with Stevenage and when asked why the striker had been left out he answered: “Because he doesn’t behave like the rest of the players and until he does, and shows the rest of the players a bit more respect, he won’t feature.

“I’m not saying any more, but all I’m saying is he has to behave like the rest of the players to be considered for selection.”

Meanwhile, further details of the audit of the club, conducted by director Sangita Shah, are set to be made available in the coming days.

Shah released a simplified commentary yesterday having sent the full audit to Companies House, where it will soon be available to view.

Further details of the audit, which confirmed the club’s debt has been significantly reduced along with the wage bill, will also be discussed at the club’s next AGM, for which a date has yet to be set.
