LECHLADE have once again added to their wealth of talented cricketers with the signing of Northumberland bowler Michael Craigs.
The 23-year-old left-armer follows former West Indian international Sylvester Joseph and ex-Potterne all-rounder Ryan Higgins in a rapidly expanding list of impressive acquisitions for the riverside club this winter.
Lechlade chairman Paul Rowley was delighted with his latest capture, telling the Advertiser: “Michael is a young left arm swing bowler who has moved to the area for work from up north.
“He’s played Premier League cricket up there and also represents Northumberland.
“We’re thrilled that he’s chosen to join us at Lechlade and look forward to seeing him in action during winter training.”
Rowley also hinted that Lechlade’s off-season transfer business was now yet done, saying: “We’re the club that never sleeps. Our doors are always open for new players.”
With that in mind, Lechlade are actively searching for new recruits ahead of the 2-14 campaign.
The Manor Ground outfit, who will play in the West of England Premier League Glos/Wilts Division next summer, welcome players of all ages.
