SKATER HOCKEY: New players wanted

First published in Sport

SWINDON Skater Hockey Club are seeking new members at all age groups for the 2014 season.

The club had a highly-successful season during 2013 with the club sending teams from all age groups to the national championships, with the juniors finishing third, the youths fourth and the seniors seventh.

The club also provided players for regional representative teams and the Great Britain International Junior team.

The club is particularly keen to restore a team at the Pee Wee (under 12) age group and is actively seeking to recruit prospective new members for an under 12 team with a view to entering the league.

Therefore, an open trial session will be held at the Link Centre on Saturday, January 11 from 10am until noon for all players aged 16 or under.

Skates, helmets, gloves and sticks are required and the club has a limited amount of equipment for use.

All ages and abilities of player are welcome, with mixed teams playing at all levels.

Older players are also required for Junior (under 18) and senior teams. Further information can be obtained from the Swindon Flames website - www.swindonflames.com - or by emailing info@swindonflames.com or ringing 01793 336290 or 01793 820856.
