THERE can be ‘no excuses’ for Swindon Wildcats after the Link Centre side secured three wins on the spin.
That is the opinion of forward Sam Bullas, who played his part in two Wildcats victories over Sheffield last weekend and a further win over Telford on Tuesday.
And the 23-year-old believes his team cannot ease off now they have shown the standards they are capable of.
“They were massive wins for us and we really needed them,” said Bullas. “They weren’t easy games, but we stuck with it.
“We’ve talked about playing for 60 minutes all year and we played how we should have done for the majority of the weekend and Tuesday.
“Now we’ve shown we can do it, there are no excuses.”
Milton Keynes and Guildford are next up for Swindon this weekend and Bullas says he will be going all-out for four points against the two high-flying teams.
“MK have robbed us of a few points this season and Guildford have proven for the last few years how good a team they are,” said Bullas.
“Right now this is the time of the year where points on the board is what we really need. I always go into a weekend wanting four points. It’s a job but it’s a hobby as well and with anything it’’s never fun to lose.
“If we lose the next five then the last three wins mean nothing.”
Meanwhile, Wildcats added a new member to their off-ice team with Sally Price coming in as the club’s new marketing manager.
Price has a wealth of experience in promotion management and event-planning within the music industry and has managed a range of bands and groups.
