SWINDON Town have announced they have agreed terms with Norwich City to bring winger Jacob Murphy to the County Ground on loan.

Once the emergency loan window opens tomorrow morning, the highly-rated youngster will join Town on a youth loan for one month until March 8.

Town have also switched their home clash with Colchester to the evening of Friday, February 14, to give them time to recover for their Johnstone's Paint Trophy area final second leg against Peterborough the following Monday.

I see the proof reading has gone out the window at the Advertiser re; the word clash. Welcome young man. When you've been married as long as I have, Valentines day means Jack. Footy always comes first. Been to Wembley twice to see STFC on my wedding anniversary.

I can see why they've done it but the attendance will suffer. Apart from Valentines some of us struggle to make evening games due to work.

i think i'd be shot or suffering dinner on my own for a few weeks if i went the match on Friday night. Any other friday would be ok, saying that, all the single blokes without kids get footy, beer and a night out!!

He is highly rated and I hope he gets a chance rather than just be cover for Pritchard.

Shame about the Friday game but there's no way we could play on Saturday and the Monday. I was going to the Colchester game but cannot now. That's two ticket refunds I'm now owed after the New Year's Day fiasco. Could they not have come up with a better date for the Peterborough game?

Sky Sports dictating again i am afraid :-(
Imagine what Arsne Wegner would be saying if his poor put among mites were asked to play 2 games in 3 days!

Bet you don't moan about the money that the club will get from it , so a small price to pay . You never know it could help to get a new player .

Liked the last Friday game we had and it suits me fine but realize others can have issues with this change so feel for those fans. Town obviously want the Wembley pay day which I can't blame them for as the revenue is vital to clubs like ours. The big but is we need points on the board and hope the paint pot does not get the way of Division one safety.

That's not actually possible, unless you've been married more than once.

All this not being "able" to play 2 games in 3 days is a very recent phenomenon. Only in the last few years has the Easter Saturday fixture been moved to Good Friday, for instance.

The FL should have insisted both ours and Peterborough's fixtures be played on the Saturday. Same for both sides, in that event.
