Johnny Haines, Mark Cox, Chris Aubrey and Dennis Smith will all represent Swindon at darts’ UK Open having qualified this weekend.
Haines and Cox were all-but there having previously picked up £500 in prize money before this weekend. Aubrey picked up the same amount on Friday to secure his place in the competition held at Butline in Minehead from March7-9.
Smith went into the final three events on £250 knowing the similar haul would see him through, and he achieved the feat on both Saturday and Sunday to finish on £750. Haines and Cox also added £250 over the weekend to end on the same total.
Jack Tweddell failed to pick up any prize money over the weekend while John Newland missed out as he couldn’t add to the £250 he earned from the first qualifying weekend.
The draw for the competition will be made today. All four Swindon players begin their campaigns in the first round having missed out on seeding.
