LOUIS Thompson will return to the Swindon Town squad for the visit of Crawley Town tomorrow night after resuming training with the Robins this morning.

The midfielder missed the weekend defeat to Leyton Orient due to bone bruising on his ankle but manager Mark Cooper confirmed to the local press this lunchtime that the teenager has been cleared to play tomorrow.

Wes Foderingham was this afternoon due to undergo a scan on a hip and groin problem, which forced him to miss the loss at Brisbane Road, and Cooper will make a late decision on his goalkeeper’s involvement.

Dany N’Guessan is over a groin issue, trained this morning and is fit for selection for Cooper, who has Nathan Thompson and Jay McEveley available to him as well after suspension.

Cooper said: “(Foderingham) is having a scan this afternoon to find out the extent of the damage to his hip or groin - we’re not sure which one it is yet. He’ll have a scan this afternoon and we’ll see how he is tomorrow.

“He’s felt it for 10 days or so but he’s been fine. He kicked a couple of balls in the warm-up and felt there would have been no way he could have kicked the ball.

“Louis trained this morning so we’re hopeful he’ll be available. Ryan (Mason) has had a relapse of his ankle so I don’t think he’ll be fit for maybe another couple of weeks.

“Coxy (Lee Cox) has had a problem with a nerve in his back so he hasn’t been able to feature. He’s started training again this week.

“It will be the same sort of squad but with the addition of Nathan, Louis and Jay.”
