IN the Under-11s North Wilts Youth League Division One Highworth Town Juniors H notched a 4-0 home win against FC Chippenham at the Rec with two goals from Bradley Poole.

Poole got the game’s first and second goals either side of half-time to put Highworth out in front. A further strike from Liam Hares as well as a great solo run and finish from Beyazit Durdu put a sheen on the scoreline.

Greenmeadow took their unbeaten run to 15 wins in all competitions this season with a 5-0 victory over Robins, also making it their ninth clean sheet. Max Whitfied grabbed two, with Cyril Koomson, Ellis Kerrigan Ritchie and Rown Doyle penalty sealing the success.

Highworth Town Juniors T left it late to get a 1-0 win against Lydiard Youth Blue in their division two match-up. Cameron Hicks turning the ball into the net with only five minutes of the match remaining.

Under-12s Division One action saw a stunning strike from Jay Lardner help Highworth on their way to a 5-1 victory against Shaw Eagles. The game was 1-1 at half time, with Jack Payne on target for Highworth. Lardner’s strike plus two from Dylan Boulton and Payne adding to his first half effort saw Highworth home.

Jamie Harrison swept home with just 10 minutes to go as Ferndale Rodbourne Pumas finally overcame a resilient Liden Community.

Pumas created plenty of chances but a superb display by Liden’s goalkeeper kept the score 0-0 through to the 80th minute.

Pumas finally broke Liden’s resistance after a fine move from Calum Lansley set-up Harrison to score from close range. Kain Chivers’ hard work also deserved an honourable mention for Pumas.

The Under-13s Division Three meeting between Stratton Youth and Ferndale Rodbourne Colts saw a valiant effort from Ferndale’s goalkeeper Tyler Corr as his side were narrowly defeated 2-1.

Corr kept his team in the game to keeping the score to 2-0 before Ben Simons halved the deficit with a last minute goal.

In Under-14s Division One, Wootton Bassett Town ‘Yellow’ won their sixth game in a row to rise into third place. Lewis Cholod and Euan Burke - with his 100th North Wilts goal - gave Bassett a 2-0 half-time lead against a determined Wickham Wanderers. A superb individual goal from Tom Miller made the score 3-0.

Cirencester ran out 2-1 winners in their Under-15s Division Three game aganst Sevenfields United. However they had to come from behind as Sevenfields scored straight from the off when Owen Lewis put the ball in the net. Chris D’Sa’s man of the match performance in goal for Sevenfields was not quite enough for his side to hang on for a result.

A hat-trick apiece from Luke Legg and Harry Johnson helped Swindon Supermarine J to a comfortable victory over Blunsdon FC in their Under-10s Division Two fixture on a 3G pitch.

Legg poked the ball home after good work by Micky McCannto put Marine 1-0 up. Johnson then scored his hat-trick before the half, to give the visitors a 4-0 lead at the break.

Legg’s second half double completed his hat-trick before Cameron Thompson grabbed a consolation for Blunsdon.
