PREDICTIONS LEAGUE: Crawley Town Results and Updates

Yet again, the Town let a wining position slip away. With a poor showing by both teams, it was not a surprise that the first half ended goalless. Swindon get off to a flyer at the start of the second half and Nathan Byrne tries to get on the end of a Jack Barthram cross only for Walsh to apparently turn it into his own net.

I say ‘apparently’ as the Announcer at the CG gives it to Byrne, the BBC match report gives it to Bryne. Sam, and other match advisors, was it Steve White and Dave Hockaday, were convinced it was an own goal.

Anyway, I’ve given it to Byrne. I’m sure Walsh won’t want to claim it.

With ten minutes to go, Swindon were pressing for a second. Nathan Byrne, this time being the provider, whips in a cross only for Dany N’Guessan’s shot to be saved. Immediately, Crawley break down the other end and Matt Tubbs slides in to convert a Simpson cross.

The game ends 1-1, but Swindon really missed the chance to take all three points.

Still there’s always next time. Just need another 29pts from a possible 39 for the chance to finish 6th.
