FARINGDON Town went down 3-1 against lowly Crosmarsh Gifford, who lifted themselves off the bottom of Division One in the process.

Tim Holtom hit a double alongside a Ben Chalmers strike whilst Richard Evans netted for Faringdon.

Saxton Rovers reserves lifted themselves off the bottom of the Division Two table with a 3-1 home win over Coleshill United.

Wayne Waldron, Rob Andrews and Lloyd Callaghan scored their goals with Lee Andrews replying for the visitors.

Dominic Wills scored twice alongside Christian Wills and Jason Evans as Faringdon Town ‘A’ won 4-2 at Berinsfield Reserves in Division Four. Ricky Hastings and Dan Osbourne netted for the home side.

In the Swindon & District League Fratellos joined table-top rivals Queensfield in the the final of the Swindon Advertiser Cup as they beat Division One side DJC Marlborough 1-0.

Their cup final opponents Queensfield went back to the top of the Premier Division table with a 6-2 win over Sportz Central.

Having played four games more than Fratellos matters are out of Queensfield’s hands when it comes to the league title’s final destination.

Old Town United also kept themselves in the hunt for the league with a 5-1 away win at Kingsdown. Currently nine points behind Queensfield they do have three games in-hand on most of the sides above them. United will be hoping the top two draw in the first week of April to fully establish their title claims.

The were also wins for Sprectrum, 3-2 over Fox & Hounds, and Village Inn, 6-2 against Swiss Chalet Rangers.
