STRIKER Josh Parsons scored a superb treble as Swindon Supermarine stormed to an easy 3-0 home victory over Evesham last night.

The Webb’s Wood Stadium side went down away at bottom side Fleet by the same score on Saturday but bounced back in style as Parsons’ second-half hat-trick, scored in the space of five minutes, saw their bid for the play-offs regain momentum.

The deadlock was eventually broken as Parsons drilled home a 30-yard free-kick to open the scoring on 75 minutes.

Strike partner Ash Edenborough won a penalty four minutes later which Parsons slotted home and, faced with another free kick from range, the nippy forward slammed another effort into the top corner to complete the scoring just a minute after his second.

Also in Division One South & West last night, Cirencester drew 0-0 with Tiverton.

In Hellenic Premier action, Shrivenham secured their first win since Sam Collier took over as manager with an impressive 3-2 victory away at Kidlington, while Malmesbury beat Purton 4-0 in the Wiltshire derby in Division One West.
