SWINDON Supermarine will be looking for some of their returning players to provide an immediate response to their 3-0 defeat at Tiverton last night.

Three first-half Tiverton goals effectively killed the match for Supermarine and boss Dave Webb will surely look to reshuffle his pack for Saturday’s home clash with North Leigh.

Tuesday’s hat-trick hero against Evesham Josh Parsons is available again, as are first team regulars Mark Flanagan and Craig Curtis.

Webb has assembled a big squad of players as he knew he had to deal with a congested month of fixtures after the havoc played by the weather after Christmas.

Webb will now assess what side he will put out at the Webb’s Wood on Saturday based on last night’s game as well as the on-going fitness levels of his players.

“Three out of four the players missing are back for Saturday,” said Webb.

“It will be a question of looking at who’s played what and what’s the best way to play North Leigh.

“I think when we went there in earlier in the season we were in one of those spells where we weren’t playing that well.

“Our squad now is far stronger than it was earlier in the season and that reflects our league position, obviously we’re now third in the table.

“I think it will be a different game, they’ve consolidated their squad with a couple of signings and picked up a couple of players from Oxford, and they’ve got Keiron Sanders coming back. For me they are one of the strongest teams in the league.

“It’s two good footballing sides and I’m expecting a good game.”

Webb will be glad when March is over, after Saturday his side will have have played 10 games this month.

April looks a far easier prospect with only two mid-week fixtures and six games.

It is a far brighter prospect for Webb than the daunting 11 games they faced at this stage last season, a schedule that probably hampered their play-off run-in.

Webb will be hoping that having got over the hill of this fixture backlog his side’s fortunes differ this time around.

Cirencester, who travel to Didcot on Saturday, went down 1-0 at Taunton last night.
