THE Wiltshire League’s leading two go head-to-head tomorrow in a battle which could decide where the Premier Division title will end up.

Second-placed Southbrook maintained their push for the crown with a 3-0 success at Devizes Town reserves, while leaders Supermarine Sports picked up a 3-1 home win over Trowbridge Town.

And Albert Dearing’s Southbrook will be looking to leap frog the long-time leaders tomorrow with a victory.

While neither side will be crowned champions come the end of the game, Dearing believes that the pressure is all on their visitors.

“They have been up there all season, while we have been moving up quietly,” Dearing said.

“We haven’t been talking about winning the title.

“It is my first season at the club and they have never won it so it would be a massive achievement.

“We said at the start of the season that we wanted to be in the mix at Christmas and push on from there.

“So with two games to go it is great that we are still in with a shout of winning the title.

“It would be great for our secretary Jane Sproule and chairman Chris Aldridge because they have been here since the beginning (in 1991).”

Devan Bryan fired Southbrook into the lead from the spot after he was dragged down in the Devizes box before Billy Sly ran half the length of the pitch to double their lead.

Colin Yates then came off the bench to wrap up the win and move Southbrook within three points of Supermarine and they are now five goals better off than the leaders.

Marlborough Town fell to a 3-0 defeat at Corsham Town reserves, while Ludgershall Sports eased to a 5-1 home success over Vale of Pewsey.

Wroughton reserves slumped to a 6-2 defeat at Division One champions Melksham Town reserves.

Second-placed Wootton Bassett Town Dev defeated Intel 3-2, while Malmesbury Victoria reserves were edged out 1-0 by Sarum Youth Seniors.
