NUMBER one Peter Kildemand believes former Robins skipper Hans Andersen is the perfect guest for this evening’s clash with Birmingham.

League-winning Andersen comes back into the Robins side in place of current captain Troy Batchelor, who is riding for Australia in a test match in Poland tonight, and brings with him a wealth of experience around the Abbey Stadium circuit he called home for two seasons.

Kildemand and Andersen travelled from Denmark to Swindon together during those two years and Kildemand is looking forward to resuming their partnership this evening.

“It’s a shame Troy is missing because it’s always good to have a full team, but Hans is the perfect guest and it will be good to have him back,” he said.

“Hans and I are good friends and I like riding with him so it will be good for the team. “He used to be the captain when he was here so it will be the fun to boss him around this time.”

Kildemand has been in a rich vein of form in recent weeks and is keen to keep things going against the league’s bottom side.

“It’s been really good recently and to be honest I just have to keep doing what I’ve been doing,” he said. “If things are going well then there’s no reason to change things.

“Birmingham have not had a great start so this is a meeting we need to take full points from.”
