PURTON have acted quickly following the departure of former manager Chris Pethick by appointing Justin Miller as their new boss.

Pethick stepped down at the end of Purton's Hellenic League season after 10 years at the helm but, within a week, Miller has succeded him.

Chairman Alan Eastwood said: "Having lost Chris and his team it was imperative that we bring in another team quickly and this we have done. I am pleased to announce that former player Justin Miller will be the new manager at the club and will be assisted by two other former Purton players, Dave Gee and Nick McCrae.

"They bring to the club a wealth of experience having all played at higher levels and are well liked by all the Purton players and local supporters alike. Justin may also be adding a further assistant to his team for the new campaign and the club are delighted with the capture of this new team”.
