John Morris saw off the challenge of 60 strong field to claim victory in the Cirencester May Stableford Division One on countback .
Morris pipped Colin Hayes after both players had gone round with a score of 37 points. Evan Drayton, who had been near the top in competitions all year, put in a customary solid round of golf and scored 35 points. David Jones and Roy Lipscombe took fourth and fifth in Division One with 35 and 34 points respectively.
Division Two was won by Stef Episcopo. He dropped only three shots to par over the last six holes and, with his handicap of 21, scored 36 points. He was two points clear of second placed David Purkiss, while Mike Bond was third.
