SWINDON Town have issued a statement regarding their current power struggle which confirms a trial date which will determine the "ultimate ownership" of the football club.

The statement read: "THE Chief Registrar of the Chancery Court Division has today agreed with the submission made on behalf of Lee Power to expedite the determination of the ultimate ownership of Swindon Town FC.

"This was contrary to the opposition led by Mr McCrory's legal counsel. The Judge has ordered that the matter be determined by a High Court Judge at a expeditious trial commencing 26th June, the earliest practical date.

"On a personal level, the Board would like to impress that it has worked tirelessly over the past months to continue to protect STFC's interests and remain confident of a just resolution."

The Swindon Advertiser understands that both fighting parties Seebeck 87 Ltd and Swinton Reds 20 Ltd were both represented in court on Friday.
