TARIQ Quaddus claimed his fifth win of his professional career.
The Swindon-based super-middleweight took a 58-56 decision over Welshman Jamie Ambler at the Oasis Leisure Centre this evening.
But it was the 23-year-old's toughest night since returning to the ring in March with Ambler working well late in rounds two and five.
Quaddus did get through on a number of times with his straight left and hurt his opponent for another victory.
Quaddus said: "It's a learning curve, it was tough in there and we got the win.
"We learn from this and take it into the next one, but I'm pleased."
