Lawrence Bennett was jumping for joy after he claimed a split decision victory over Chris Keane to move himself in line for a shot at the British cruiserweight title.

The 31-year-old took the decision on the cards of both Jeff Hinds and Howard Foster, 99-92 and 98-94 respectively, while Mike Alexander scored it 96-95 in favour of Keane.

But in fairness it could have gone either, it was a very poor contest with Bennett scoring of the single jab while the Walsall fighter tried to load up with big booming right hands.
