SWINDON Wildcats are in need of host families for an academy player during the upcoming season.

It is the third year of the Swindon Wildcats Host Family Programme offered to players from all over Europe. Cats are in particular need of families in the Central, North and West Swindon, Lydiard, Royal Wootton Bassett and Wroughton areas, to host players for the upcoming school year (September 2014 to July 2015).

This year’s Academy will comprise of 25 players – 16 of which are already hosted with local families and all players are males, aged between 13 and 16-years old.

The programme focuses on education, athletics and citizenship. Host families are required to fulfil a part of that role by providing a home from home for a playe, though all transportation is provided by the academy. In return host families receive £350 per month to cover the players day-to-day living expenses.
