WILTSHIRE trainer Richard Hannon enjoyed another solid showing at Royal Ascot yesterday.
Having sent Toronado off to victory in the opening day of the major flat racing event, Hannon also secured a second-place with Night of Thunder.
Hannon then came within a whisker of gaining his second winner of the week in the second race of the second day at the Berkshire track.
Richard Hughes, who guided Tornonado to victory, was on the 7-2 shot Tiggy Wiggy.
However the jockey was unable to get past the 9-4 favourite Anthem Alexander, who claimed the win by a neck.
Hannon began the day with Coulsty in the Jersey Stakes and the three-year-old came home seventh.
In the Royal Hunt Cup, Hannon sent out two runners with Trumpet Major finishing 28th, while Sea Shanty came home in fourth.
Hannon’s final hope of the day was Midnite Angel in the Sandringham Hanidcap but she finished 14th.
