SWINDON Town boss Mark Cooper has confirmed the club is planning to loan out keeper Tyrell Belford next season.

The Advertiser revealed on Thursday how the Robins have offered second-choice stopper Belford to all clubs in League One, League Two and the Skrill Premier.

Now, speaking to FLIC Wiltshire, Cooper has confirmed the plan.

"With Wes (Foderingham) being the number one and the way he played last season, we need to get 'Ty' some more experience, he had a taste of it last season but we need to get him some more game time in somebody's first team," he said.

"If somebody comes and wants him to be their first choice then we will consider it, but we need a replacement to be an understudy for Wes."

Cooper has also insisted Portsmouth are jumping the gun regarding a potential loan move for Miles Storey.

"I think they (Portsmouth) might be jumping the gun a little bit, because as far as I'm aware, there is nothing concrete or there is nothing imminent with Miles," he said.

"I think there was an interest and the two clubs spoke, but I don't think there is anything concrete or anything imminent that is going to happen.

"Miles was part of our fitness testing group today."
