DAKOTA North is hopeful his knee issues are behind him now.

The Aussie suffered knee ligament damage after a crash at home to Leicester on June 9, forcing him to spend some time on the sidelines before returning to face the Lions at Leicester last weekend.

North was pleased not to feel any discomfort despite the knee not having completely healed and is hopeful the injury won’t hamper him for the rest of the season as he prepares to take on Wolves tonight.

“It’s okay, there was no tear and just a little damage so it’s nothing to worry about,” he said.

“I rode okay at Leicester after a week off so I’m happy with it. I didn’t really notice it so it’s all good.”

North was the shining light as he scored 10 from four rides as the Robins let a lead slip before losing out on their last visit to Monmore, and is hoping for the same again from his point of view.

“Hopefully I can do the same again because I felt pretty good the last time we went there, and hopefully the other boys can too because we were pretty good until the last half of the meeting where we failed to finish the job.

“We need to cut the late collapses out and we nearly did it again at Leicester in the last meeting but we just about managed to hold on which was good.

“We’ve got Pete and Batch back now so hopefully everything should be okay.”
