DAVE Miles made an extraordinary return to the Swindon side in the Glos/Wilts Division on Saturday, claiming 6-25 in his first match of the campaign.
Leg spinner Miles ripped through the Chipping Sodbury middle order and tail to reduce the visitors to 140 all out in pursuit of Swindon’s daunting total of 279-8 and afterwards spoke of his delight at his return.
He said: “I couldn’t believe it, really.
“It was my first game back and pretty much my first game since last year and it just came out really well.
“I knew it would be okay when the first over came out well but I just kept taking wickets.
“I came on at a decent time, the opening bowlers did well by keeping it to a low run rate. We took our catches and everything that went in the air went to hand.
“It was a bit of luck and I bowled well - everything just came together.”
Vibhor Yadav scored 78 in the Swindon innings, with Jon Sore chipping in with 57 and Marc Williamson making 52.
