SWINDON Supermarine have announced Samaritans of Swindon and District will be their charity partner for the 2014/15 season.
Suicide is the leading the cause of death for men between the age of 20 and 49 and a Samaritans is hoping their association with the Webb’s Wood club encourages men who find it difficult to talk about their problems to come forward.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “We want to reach men who may not have thought about contacting Samaritans to let them know Samaritans can be contacted around the clock. They don’t judge you and what you say stays between you and Samaritans.”
Last year Swindon and District Samaritans were contacted by around 26,000 people either by phone, email, text and talking face to face and they are available to talk off the record on 01793 537373* or 08457909090*(*call charges apply).
