MILES Storey is hopeful a run of starts can lay the platform for a successful loan spell at Portsmouth.
The striker finally completed his season-long switch to the south coast yesterday and is looking forward to the upcoming League Two campaign.
He told Pompey's official website: “Everyone’s made me feel really welcome and it’s brilliant to be here.
“The gaffer, players and staff have all been great and now I’m really looking forward to working hard for Pompey.
“I’ve played for Swindon in fits and starts, but I think I’ve done better when I’ve played in successive games.
“If I get a chance in the side then I think the sharpness and confidence will soon follow. I believe I can do well and score goals.
“I already knew some of the lads like Joe Devera and Danny Hollands. There are a lot of good players here and plenty of competition for places, so nobody can rest on their laurels.
“I know the fans here are fantastic and that was one of the main reasons for me wanting to come.
“To play in front of so many people at Fratton Park will be amazing. You’ve got to have a bit about you to do that, so hopefully I can do well here.
“We need to get a good pre-season under our belts, but the first league game will be a different ball game and I can’t wait.”
