JAZZ Carlin has booked her place in the 800m freestyle final at the Commonwealth Games.
The former Swindon Tigershark won her heat at the Glasgow event this afternoon in a time of 8:22.69 - a new Games record - and will now swim for gold tomorrow night.
"I've put everything into my swimming this year, so I really wanted to put in a strong heat to get ready for the final tomorrow," Carlin told BBC Sport.
"I need to relax ahead of the final and eat the right food. It's about being calm and relaxed for the final - I don't want to be stressed.
"After missing out on London I haven't experienced a home Games like this before and the crowd have been amazing."
