CAPTAIN Joe Breet will be looking for his Lechlade side to regain their winning ways when Chipping Sodbury visit the Manor Ground on Saturday.

Lechlade make only one change to the side that lost at Biddestone last weekend, with wicketkeeper Sam Burdock coming in for the injured Paul Godding.

Burdock, who has been out of the side since suffering a hand injury at Tewkesbury three weeks ago, has had to wait for his return to the first team stated his case for a return with a century for the second team a week ago.

Breet said last weekend’s result was disappointing but the fact that Lechlade got so close playing poorly was a positive they could take from the game.

“We need to put last week behind us and make sure we have no further slip-ups,” he said. “Last week and our other defeat to Swindon shows that any team in our division on their day can beat any of the others.

“This Saturday will be no different and we have to concentrate fully on each of the remaining games if we are to win the title this season.”

Lechlade coach Luke Sellers said selection has proved to be a tricky process over the last few weeks.

“With the team winning and availability very good those pushing for places within the squad are having to wait for an opportunity and in recent weeks this has been generally down to injury,” he said.

“Sam (Burdock) had to rest a hand injury and it has taken a shoulder injury to Paul (Godding) for him to regain his place in the first team.”

Chipping Sodbury currently occupy one of the two relegation places in WEPL Glos/Wilts and need a victory to push themselves closer to safety.

Elsewhere, Goatacre host Minehead in Premier Two, while Purton entertain Nationwide House in the Wiltshire Division.
