ANTON Rodgers faces a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the damage in his knee.

Rodgers, Swindon Town's only permanent summer signing, was named amongst the substitutes for the Robins' 3-1 victory over Scunthorpe United this afternoon but was withdrawn after he sustained the injury in the warm-up.

Manager Mark Cooper revealed after the game that it is a recurrence of a previous problem the midfielder has struggled with but, until the results of the scan come through, he was not able to say how long Rodgers could be out for.

Hopefully not too bad an injury for him and for us ... we can't really afford another 'sicknote' in the squad ...

After Archibald, McEverley and Navarro I would have thought the medical team would have been very stringent about the signing of a player with a history of knee injuries.

Hope the problem is not too serious and Anton will be available for selection before too long.
