MALMESBURY maintained their slender lead at the top of Division One with a seven-wicket win over Collingbourne.

Josh Langley took 4-28 as Collingbourne were all out for 117, Archie Scott scoring 44 before an unbeaten 29 from James Gaunt saw the visitors home.

Wootton Bassett kept up the pressure with a 23-run success over Hinton Charterhouse, who were all out for 181 chasing 204 all out, Bassett’s Roger Willoughby taking 6-37 in nine overs.

Short-handed Swindon NALGO recovered from 11-2 after 10 overs to reach 101-4 off 29, as Ahmad Faraz (49) and Safraz Khan (21) went on the attack, putting on 40 for the third wicket, with some of their teammates stuck in traffic.

Rafiq joined Faraz and added 51 for the fourth wicket before Mudassar Rafiq (69) and Rizwan Quadri (50 not out) put on 79 for the seventh, as NALGO closed on 200-8.

Beanacre raced to 51 before the loss of their first wicket before Ben Brown (24) and Steve Rendell put on another 32 to take the score on to 80.

Chris Downham (14) joined Rendell and the pair got the scoreboard ticking over to take Beanacre to within 79 runs of victory.

Alex Tanner’s arrival at the crease accelerated matters, his unbeaten 37 helping the home side to victory in the 42nd over, Rendell remaining unbeaten on 79.

Bradford on Avon inflicted a 99-run defeat on former leaders Urchfont, as Nick Gerrish hit 39 and Tony Burrows 26 in their 181-9.

Urchfont were dismissed for just 82 as Gerrish took 5-10 in 4.4 overs and Mishak Belfon 4-33.

In Division Two, All Cannings failed to chase down a lowly target after bowling out Keevil for just 94, Ruan Simons having taken 5-26 from eight overs.

Hugo Saye hit 32, but 5-40 from Alex Forsey and Simon Emmitt’s 4-21 left them short on 89 all out.

Tomas Foreman scored 62 in Swindon A’s 297 all out against Wroughton Wranglers, who were dismissed for just 88 in reply, Kudzi Mlambo taking 3-23.

Steve Copland’s 7-40 in 9.3 overs helped Lacock dismiss Spye Park for 147 in their clash.

Unbeaten knocks of 75 and 65 from Phil Steans and Miles Copland respectively got Lacock to their target for the loss of three wickets.

Adam Tooze took 5-44, Chris Spackman 2-14 and Danny Hunt 2-15 for Swindon United Churches, as leaders Beckington were all out for 177. However, Tooze’s 14 was a lone bright spot as Churches were dismissed for just 49.

Seagry’s Adam Lawrence struck 109 of his side’s 186 all out against Division Three leaders Avebury, who reached their target for the loss of five wickets, as Bruce Crook finished unbeaten on 53, Dean Roodt scored 39 and Greg Dix an unbeaten 30.

Mike Spong’s unbeaten 117 and 98 not out from Gary Collins helped Beehive (Southwick) inflict a heavy defeat on promotion candidates Wootton Bassett 2nds, who were all out for 125.

Phil Alsop hit 118 of Potterne 3rds’ 227-7 against Heytesbury & Sutton Veny, who came up just short in reply, as Ollie Hares scored 56 in their 210-7.

Ian Morton’s 4-33 helped Wanborough dismiss Beanacre & Melksham 2nds for 132 pursuing 178. Earlier, Mike Pethick had scored 44 in Wanborough’s innings.

Corsham 3rds’ Liam Sumsion (67) and Jake Valentine (49) shared a first-wicket partnership of 113 in their 210-6, in which Karan Kumar added an unbeaten 51 before their match with Biddestone 3rd was abandoned.

In Divisio Four, Wilcot amassed 238-1 against Corsham 4ths, as Shane Bryant hit an unbeaten 106 and Steve Sadler 77 not out. Four wickets from Graham Smith ensured Corsham were dismissed for just 81.

Mark Toseland’s 48 was in a losing cause as Malmesbury 2nds (126) lost by six wickets to Bathford (127-4).

Wootton Bassett 3rds were in glorious batting form as they piled on 316-2 to stun leaders Ramsbury.

Ben Mattick scored 118 not out, Stuart Grant 106 and James Smith Snr 69 and Ramsbury came up short on 225-9 in reply.

White Horse continued their march towards the Division Five title with a 198-run thrashing of Trowbridge A on Saturday.

Horse scored 266-7, with Jon Candy and Tristan Norman both hitting 68, while Trowbridge’s Graham Booth took 4-62.

Trowbridge were all out for just 46 as Tom Lentschner took 6-21 in just seven overs.

Graham Cuthbertson’s 6-53 in 11 overs for Warminster 3rds helped dismiss Hinton Charterhouse 2nds for 194 but, despite 74 from Saffy Farhaz, they were unable to overhaul the target, ending on 164.

Ian Sandell scored 111 of Chippenham 3rds’ 204 against Cherhill, who finished on 126-8 in reply.

An unbeaten 46 from Kyle Barnes and 33 from Tom Ponting proved decisive as second-placed Goatacre 3rds (170-5) claimed a five-wicket triumph over Spye Park 2nds.

In Division Six, four wickets apiece from Ash Rosier (4-27) and Graham Milne (4-25) helped leaders Burbage & Easton Royal 3rds dismiss their Winsley counterparts for just 91.

Alan Wheeler (42 not out) and Russ Buck (44 not out) helped Burbage home for the loss of one wicket.

Tony Trotman’s 74 set up Box 2nds’ winning 187-7 against Potterne 4ths, who were dismissed for 102 in reply, Richard Hulbert taking 7-23.

An unbroken stand of 126 for the second wicket between Rob Robson (72 not out) and Aiden Davidson (46 not out) helped Hayestbury & Sutton Veny 2nds to a nine-wicket success over Collingbourne 2nds.

Division Seven leaders Marlborough 3rds maintained their unbeaten league run by putting Wanborough 2nds to the sword by seven wickets.

Noel Braganza scored 88 in Wanborough’s 215-9 but Ed Puddick’s unbeaten 72 and 67 from Bradley Frost got Marlborough home for the loss of three wickets.
