A SWINDON Town XI, featuring Australian triallist Joel Chianese, lost 4-2 in a development friendly against Cheltenham Town at Quat Lane yesterday.

Chianese scored both of Town’s goals with Mark Cooper watching on from the sides. The first was chested in from close range after a ball from Harry Agombar. His second came after a cross from Will Randall.

New signing Jake Reeves made his first appearance in a Town shirt as Cooper took advantage of the absence of first team football to assess players on the fringes of his squad.

Cheltenham’s goals came courtesy of Bobbie Dale, James Bowen, Danny Racchi and Jamal Lawrence.

As long as he doesn't turn out to be another Dossevi and a fans favourite based on a friendly, he'll be fine. ... oops that's a bit negative for me .. Lol !

Now I do know that parts of Cheltenham are not salubrious, but ''Quat Lane'' - should that be ''S**t Street''.
