ADVERTISER sports reporter Tom Bassam gives out his scores from Swindon Town's 2-2 stalemate with Oldham.
WES FODERINGHAM
Little chance with the first goal but perhaps could have commanded his defence better for the late equaliser. The ‘keeper’s distribution was a little off too. 6
RAPHAEL BRANCO
A shaky performance form the Brazilian, made the simple stuff look difficult but was generally in the right place at the right time. 6
JORDAN TURNBULL
His passing was not to his usually high standards but made a few key headers. Solid but unspectacular is probably a fair reflection. 6
NATHAN THOMPSON
Marshalled his defence well and made some good challenges. Will be disappointed not have seen his side to the win. 6
NATHAN BYRNE
Provided the assist for Williams and was generally Town’s most dangerous player. Hard to find a fault with the wing-back's work. 7*
YASER KASIM
Poleon seemed glued to little Iraqi and the Oldham man couldn’t be shaken off. As a result Town’s key player in their early phase of play was limited and sometimes bypassed. 6
LOUIS THOMPSON
Did not get enough ball to provide an attacking threat but worked hard the other way before his withdrawal. 6
MASSIMO LUONGO
Not at his surging best and was shackled by Oldham’s midfield, when he’s off the whole team struggles. 6
BRAD SMITH
Failing to make use of the tools he’s blessed with: pace and athleticism. His final ball was markedly poor. 5
MICHAEL SMITH
Missed a big early chance but held the ball well and looked neat with the ball at his feet. That link-up play showed enough that another game without a goal was not critical. 6
JON OBIKA
Got another goal and carried a threat but perhaps 180 minutes in four days is a big ask with his lack of recent game time. 7
SUBS
ANDY WILLIAMS
(for M Smith 68) Rebooted the game with a marvellous goal that reinvigorated Town. Can’t ask for more than that from a substitute. 7
JAKE REEVES
(for L Thompson 73) Some nice touches but had little influence. 6
GEORGE BARKER
(for B Smith 85) Had a half chance for a winner but otherwise had little opportunity to impress.
Not used: Belford, Waldon, Lelan, Barthram.
