JOHN Fisher knows his side will have to be at their best if they are to maintain their fine start to season tonight.

The Worthians welcome Binfield to the Elms in Hellenic League Premier Division knowing that a win could send them top of the pile.

But a change in management at Binfield has left Fisher under no illusions about the job at hand.

Mark Tallentire stood down as Binfield boss last week and his assistant Roger Herridge has taken up the reins.

“Binfield are always a good side and will always be up there at the end of the season,” Fisher said.

“But with Roge in charge now I know just how well they will be organised.

“Roge always puts out well organised sides and on Saturday they beat Flackwell 3-0.

“But then we have had a good start to the season too.”

Fisher has praised his backline for how they have begun the season, while the Worthians boss says that he is planning to speak to Shrivenham striker Josh Fowler after making a seven-day approach last week.

“I have put together a new backline this season and we are not conceding goals,” Fisher added.

“People go on about needing time for a new side to gel, but we are a new side and we’ve hit the ground running.

“At times, it can go the other way but I’m pleased with how we’ve started.”

Fowler’s Shrivvy will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat Reading Town tonight when they travel to Thame United.

Player-boss Sam Collier was far from happy with how his side performed at Barrington Park at the weekend and he will be determined to see a response.
