SWINDON Supermarine manager Dave Webb says that his team are not in a position to take the Red Insure Cup lightly.

The Webb’s Wood Stadium side make the unenviable journey to Cinderford Town this evening looking to come through the match unscathed ahead of Saturday’s FA Trophy clash with Fleet Town.

And with several players needing valuable playing time, the Marine boss says that he will make changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Tiverton Town.

“Kyle Lapham will get some valuable minutes - I can’t remember the last time he played,” Webb said.

“Eddie Stevens should feature too after missing most of the season with a metatarsal injury.”

Webb is also expected to give game time to Joe Shepherd ahead of his three-match ban, while Ryan O’Hara is likely to feature in the Forest of Dean as well.

However, Harry Etheridge (thigh) and Mark Flanagan (ankle) will not be risked against John Brough’s men.

And while the Red Insure Cup is a lightly regarded competition, Webb says that he is determined for his team to progress.

“We are not in a position in the league where we can discredit this cup,” the South Marston chief added. “I want us to win and progress - that is what I’m looking for.”

Meanwhile, Fairford Town will be looking to see off Milton United in the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup second round.
