SWINDON Town have been hit with a £5,500 fine for their part in the fracas that broke out against Leyton Orient earlier this month.
The two clubs were charged by the FA for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the match at Brisbane Road on October 4, a game Town won 2-1.
The incident occurred after a challenge from Shane Lowry left Town's Nathan Byrne prone before Orient's Dean Cox poked the ball against the Town man’s head, sparking a mass brawl in stoppage time of the League One clash.
Both clubs were charged by the FA and both accepted the charges, with Orient only fined £4,000 for their part of the incident.
