IN-FORM striker Michael Smith is looking to try and complete Town’s “massive” run of games with another win to show they are real contenders in League One.

In November Swindon have faced three of league’s top seven and take on a fourth tomorrow when they travel to Peterborough.

So far it’s two wins from three in those games, with Smith scoring his 12th goal of the season to beat Bristol City last week.

It is the one blemish that troubles the big Geordie and his teammates. However victory at London Road would go some way to impressing on the rest of the division the confidence Town have in their ability to keep pushing at the top of the table.

“It’s a massive month when you look at the fixtures,” said Smith.

“When the Preston game was cancelled it was rearranged into this month we knew it was going to be massive, six points so far out of the nine and we’ll go again on Saturday and hopefully make it nine out of 12.

“We’re perfectionists, we’ll look back at the MK Dons result and think we dropped a few points there. Now we’ll have to take this run of form into Peterborough away next week.

“We’ve said that from the off. A few people weren’t too sure but the boys are quietly confident in the changing room no one wants to talk about promotion or anything but we know what we’ve got in there and how far we can go.”
